About me:
I'm Anne, I'm 32 and live in Musselburgh after seven years in Liverpool.

I started using Flickr after being inspired by Allison Wonderland to take part in a photo-a-day (HPAD) project in 2007. I learned so much about photography and met new friends and got to know old ones better. I made it to Day 523 but health got in the way and my Flickr activity began to fizzle out.

As of April 2011, I'm back in the room. I have removed a fair few photos from my stream to aid the fresh start and cut some ties. From now, I will only be posting photos I enjoy looking at and I hope you will too do too. It's great being properly back on Flickr again; I have so many lovely friends on here, how could I not be? I am enjoying catching up with my HPAD chums and already hooked on the Monthly Scavenger Hunt group, where I am meeting lots of new friends.

So, see you around! Anne xx

    Mookey 316 says:

"Mrs M, Queen of HPAD (and Excel lists)! A lovely lady, whose images are always beautiful. (Frankie shots are always my favourites) Your food shots could be professional. A selfless, inspirational lady, who always has the perfect recipes. Thank you Mrs M x"

    Allison Wonderland says:

"I love Mrs M's take on life. I particularly love her flower and food shots which are beautiful and delicious and there's a real sensitivity in her portrait shots. I've enjoyed checking out her photostream for the past 2+ years and I look forward to doing so for many years to come"

"What can I say about the wonderful Mrs Magic that hasn't already been said. She's an amazing person and an amazing photographer, and always has such a positive outlook on life. The comments she leaves on my shots and on others seem to come from the heart and are a pleasure to read.

Your commitment to the HPAD group is truely inspirational, and it's down to you for keeping such a lovely community to be a part of."

    The Winkle says:

"Mrs Magic, hereafter known as Madge, takes beautiful pictures. Though her life hasn't been as good as it should have been at times she continues to capture really beautiful things through her lens. I especially love Madge's flower shots which have such gorgeous colours and detail in them...and I always look out for shots of the super-cat, Frankie."

    The Beffster says:

"Mrs Magic, what can I say?

I could tell you how wonderful you are, but lumpy has said that so much eloquently ( which I have likely spelt wrong, I am not even sure if that is how to spell likely?) than I ever could.

So what I will say (which Lumpy has said too, but I've got to say something, I can't just leave a blank testimonial) is the way you have embraced this project is amazing. Your photos have improved with every snap (not that they were bad to begin with) You have wonderful ideas and capture them so well, one day I hope to be as good as you."

    Raynah Thomas says:

"So, Mrs Magic. She says testimonials have to mean something, and they shouldn't be given willy-nilly as prizes as they are in some groups. And she's absolutely right, but she deserves a testimonial.

As someone who has know Mrs M for a long time as on online friend, I have never failed to be inspired by her positive, fun loving outlook on life which shines through even when things seem pretty rubbish for her. She always has a word of encouragement or comfort for others who need it, and she has proved herself time and time again to be a wise and precious friend to me.

As a photographer, she has stunned me again over the last few months. She and I began this Flickr project at the same time, and while I kind of fluffed around with it, she embraced it whole-heartedly and has, as a result, achieved some spectacular results. I've been glad of her technical advice on a number of occasions and over the last few days we've spent a lot of 'real life' time together and she's given me a whistle stop tutorial on PSP which I've been too technophobic to approach on my own. (I know, I know...)

Thanks for sharing your expertise, your time, and your friendship, Mrs M. As a wise man once said, "Your flower macro photography has taken a quantum leap." Keep on leaping. xxx"
