Adrian is a freelance photographer living in rural Nottinghamshire who specialises in landscape photography. His passion is to capture rarely viewed scenes, fleeting moments of interaction between light and environment, ethereal images of the British landscape, revealing beauty, form and feature unseen by many.

A misty morning, a lonely tree, a wave washing the sea shore: wherever the vista happens to be, the play of the light stirs up unexpected thoughts and emotions that Adrian tries to convey in his images.

Adrian's earliest images were created as a child using his father's Zeiss Icon camera with Ilford 120 black & white roll film. He built his own darkroom in 1980, processing both colour and black and white images. Adrian progressed into the world of digital imaging in 2008, becoming a member of the Royal Photographic Society in 2012, and being published in 2013.

Currently, a number of Adrian's images are on tour in international exhibitions and many more have been used for magazine articles and front covers. Ten of his images feature in the book Extraordinary Villages by Tony Francis, published in September 2014, and he has had two images shortlisted for Outdoor Photographer of the Year 2014.

Adrian has been influenced by many great talents: some of his inspirations include Charlie Waite, Chris Friel, Graham Dunn, Karen Frenkel, Doug Chinnery, Valda Bailey, Chris Newham, David Noton and Joe Cornish. Although he names just a few, Adrian recognises the influence of the thousands of individuals who have generously shared their work on social media and image sharing websites like Flickr.
