Of the over 6 Million or so photographs you'll see in your lifetime - Here's a few of mine for you to enjoy too.

My Story?

Quick Bio: I'm a semi-pro photographer of sorts - I take pictures that I like, if someone else likes them too, that's great, if they like it enough to buy one - Greater! I'm also an enthusiastic learner of both taking the shot & working with it in Photoshop CS3 afterwards (on a Mac of course) - There's always something new to learn, try & teach - Which is something else I do - I teach both photography and Photoshop classes (on Mac & PC), along with Apple computer classes.

I mostly do landscape photography, which gives me an excuse to climb mountains, either with friends or in quiet solitude, with some nature and wildlife when the opportunity comes along. You'll also find while browsing my images, that I also enjoy Macro, abstracts and fine-art work, along with some oddities that may be hard to explain.

My posting of images here is sporadic - Mostly as I either find some shots I forgot about, just took some new ones, or remember that I need to add some more.

I've never been accused of being organized.

I'm the Co-owner of a photo gallery and digital photo-lab in a small tourist town on an island in the Pacific NW, showing my own work, along with a couple other artists, and teaching classes in photography and Photoshop on Apple computers.

Prior to moving to 'the island', during our 37 years of being married, we have managed to start, own and work together with a number of other business for over 30 years in various parts of the professional-music & video industry. We've found that we make terrible employees, and we're better at being self-employed. Now we're doing photography, cameras, accessories and training workshops.

I'm also a multi-instrument musician, with a home studio (photo of studio is in here somewhere) that I record different types of music on my Mac with Logic Audio. Everything from Rock & Blues, to Jazz and even Classical symphony's which I really enjoy, as it's more of a challenge layering so many different instruments/sounds, all different, but working together. No Country or Western music, or Rap though.

I don't play live, or even for friends though - I'm too shy for one thing, and my lack of concentration skills makes it difficult for me to get all the way thru a song with out screwing up. Thankfully MIDI was invented so I can record in sections.

More Photography & Photoshop workshops in the planning stage. Have had a lot of fun with the past ones. Our students have had so much fun too, that they've asked us for more. So, we're adding more.

Keep in touch to learn more. See you at the next workshop.

Facebook/tony locke photography is the easiest way to keep up with what I'm doing.

I've got two blogs with lots of photography and Photoshop tips and tricks. Ones up and running now, the other is still a work in progress.
Here's the main one for now:

Fun trivia -We changed the name of our store awhile back from Digital Art Moments to "That Photo Shoppe", because that's what everyone kept calling us - "Oh, you're that photo shop by the post office". Thought I'd throw in this explanation just in case, as it's a fun story too.

Another NEWS UPDATE!! - As of the first of June, we are no longer in the process of buying out QuickSilver Photolab in Bellingham, we have left and moved all of our assets out.

Turns out the company was actually worth far, far less than we had originally been lead to believe it was. After working with two banks and several business counselors, we made a final offer for buy-out that was more in line with what was financially prudent, and was turned down by the seller. AGH!

We also currently do not have a new space available for That Photo Shoppe in Anacortes, as we were in the middle of temporally closing our store, with plans to reopen in a larger location, contingent on the buy-out of QuickSilver and moving some of those services and products to Anacortes.

So now, we have changed our name to Alternative Focus, all services and workshops that we've become famous for are now run out of a home office.

All phone numbers, emails and web-sites are still up and running.

Stay tuned for more. Follow my Facebook/tony locke photography for the latest info

NOTE About How I Add Contacts:
If I've added you as a Contact on my page, it's simply because I really like your work and would like to keep track of you. I have no meaning or expectations beyond that. If you like my work and add me as a Contact too, great, but if not, I understand. I'm not into the "how many contacts" can I get game, as I've seen many do. I've also seen too many get upset about being added, or worse yet not reciprocated, so I thought I'd explain how I look at it. Simply my 2-cents worth.
