Hi!

I'm Louise and I live in Darwin, Australia. I am originally from the UK and came to Australia in August 2008 after graduating the University of Sheffield with a Sociology degree. I've travelled all over Australia and SE Asia and have now settled in Darwin, Northern Territory.

I reckon Darwin is one of the best places to be a nature/landscape photographer - the whole Top End is gorgeous! It's so remote too, so no pesky crowds getting in the way! The bird life is amazing, the insect life is amazing... I feel so lucky to be living here.... the storms, the waterfalls, the remote-ness.

I am fairly new to photography, getting my first DSLR in January 2010 - a Canon 450d.

I now use a Canon 5D Mark iii

I mainly use a 17-40mm F4L lens

I have a 300mm F4 L

and a 70-200 F2.8L

I now sell my framed and unframed prints at local markets, craft fairs and pop-up shops in Darwin.... and of course online at www.louisedenton.com

I find Flickr truly inspiring - there is some fabulous work out there!

Constructive feedback is always welcome on my images.

Feel free to send me a message - I love all Flickr Mail!

I also have a blog here -

I greatly admire Lou. She seems to be "living the dream" and has carved out what looks to be an exciting career using her passion of photography. And, boy is she gifted in that area! I've never been to Australia, but somehow I've come to love it anyway; I actually feel quite intimate with Darwin, thanks to Lou's stunning seascape photography of the area. I'm also happy to serve on the "Photography Critique" and "less is More 2015" boards with her, it's a pleasure to work together!!
