BK (before kids) my husband and I traveled a lot and took landscape pictures. We used a Nikon N80 and Velvia slide film. We fight over who took which shot, so some may have been taken by him (though I KNOW the blue Norway ones are mine :)).

Now that we have kids our traveling has changed. Having three under three just about did me in. Hopefully soon we can get back to traveling. Well, first sleeping. Sleeping would be good. Then traveling.

Now I chase after the kids with a D3. I love both my 50mm and 85mm lenses. And I just started using a 28mm f/1.4, which is amazing.

I've recently started shooting with an old Hasselblad, and some random Polaroid cameras. Even broke out the Holga, so there's a lot more film added to the mix these days.

I heart photoshop. I try not to go too overboard with it.

Please feel free to add me as a contact (unless your some perv or foot freak). I'm a terrible return contact.

And I now have a blog, where I post photoshop tutorials and random pictures of my girls.

"Caution : This stream is the best thing that you can do for the edification of your eyes !

Here, the simplest of the small things takes a so personal dimension. The more I looks at, the more it is beautiful.

If Lauren Rosembaum were in a dictionary, the definition would be " talent, quite simply ". No complications, never, just a true manner to say the things as they are. She's got the eye. One should remember this young woman a long time.

For the marvellous journey and the inspiration that you give, thank you Lauren."

"Lauren has such a fantastic eye for photography -- I think her photographs must comprise half of my flickr favorites. Whether she's taking portrait of her beautiful daughters or shooting some naturey crap, she always manages to create magic. Her photostream is an inspiration."

"What can I say about Lauren? She is an incredible inspiration to me. She is funny, smart, and knows how to make you feel comfortable--I know that if she was doing a shoot with me that she would make me feel completely at ease. Her photography is second to none and is always thought-provoking and at the highest level of art and creativity. On top of it all, she is a great person and a caring friend, as is obvious to all who know her. I don't mean to gush, really, but she is my favorite photographer on Flickr and I gotta give credit where credit is due. :-)"

    Extra Medium says:

"Lauren couldn't run any faster, she was losing, and it was not her fault. Her leg was tied to mine and the potato sack race was almost over. She was paired up with me since she was the homecoming queen and I was the star chess player. The homecoming committee thought it would be a good pairing to put beauty and brains together to see if they could win the 45th annual Potato Sack Race for a Cure held in South Pennsyltucky, Tx. In the lead 5ft ahead of us were Alison and Kumar (voted best eyes & most likely to star in a stoner movie, respectively), and their chemistry was obvious from their first step. Lauren and I spent the 10 minutes prior to the start arguing different photographic composition rules and how using direct sunlight to provide rim lighting and flare is artistic. But we overcame our differences in the last quarter mile (it was a 2.5 mile potato sack race) and put our differences behind us to win that race, and split the 12lb bag of jelly bean first prize. I came to find out later that Lauren is not only a great mom, but her energy, enthusiasm and natural glow comes through in all her photos and in her life. It's a honor to have her as a friend. I just wish she wouldn't' have worn those high heels during our race, because I still have my limp 12 years later."

"Lauren's big camera makes good pictures:)

But seriously, she is an amazing photographer. Her style is timeless and beautiful. Her child photography skills are way enviable. If I had a quarter of her talent, I would be just tickled pink.

She also has great hair. Can't forget about the hair :)"

"She's the mother to three girls 5 and under. For that alone she deserves a medal. Add to it that she is damn good at it and an amazing photographer. She's able to see photos and take them, not trigger happy and getting lucky. Like some *ahem me*. Lauren always has the perfect words to pair with her perfect images. And somehow she seems to post just the right words for me at the right time, it's weird. Oh yah, she's sweet and funny too."

"Before I run into Lauren's photo stream, I found pictures of other people's children boring and I couldn’t imagine I’d enjoy such a stream.
Lauren is a true photographer; she went beyond "family snapping" and creates such an amazing mood around her precious girls. Her pictures are technically impeccable, inspiring and uplifting. She captures the essence of the little ones as they grow."
