"Okay right, so I've been meaning to do one of these for Kirstea for a long time but I kept forgetting to do so. Now that she's done one for me, I think it'd be nice to do the same back!

Kirsty is a great photographer and my wonderful girlfriend. I remember when I first met her, she had a cute little pink compact and a penchant for quick snaps of friends. Even at the time she had an eye for a good shot. I remember explaining how to use the more advanced features on her camera and from then on, she'd caught the camera bug and together we practiced our photography daily.

We both took daily photos and I greatly enjoyed her "confessions" series, where she took a creative confession every day. It was very cute and I got to know her quickly through this, it all started after one late night talking to me and then having to drink an insane amount of coffee the morning after. I found it very endearing :)

She also started a 52 weeks project, which she's still doing! It really is awesome. At the start of the summer holidays she started a project 365 like me and it was great to have a little photography buddy doing the same thing. She went on to buy a big ol' SLR (a nikon D3000) that seemed a little like overkill at the time, but in the end it was perfect, we nicknamed the camera "Lomo" and it made Kirsty a much better photographer very quickly. Kirsty always propelled me on with my photographic endeavors, through the countless evenings going: "I don't know what to do my 365 of" she'd always come up with a great idea for a unique shot. Her photos are always quirky and her techniques are improving with every click. The amount of cool projects she has going on right now is staggering. I couldn't ask for a better photo-buddy. She encouraged me to get my Nikon and now I look forward to what the future brings - us together happily snapping away.

(Please take time to comment on a few of her things and visit her site at, because I know it means a lot to her and she appreciates it a whole bunch!)

Thank YOU! And never stop taking photos :) xxxx"
