So this is my little stream of ADD consciousness...As much as I try I don't seem to put things here with any particular Rhyme or Reason. They are works from long ago or last night. Snapshots and series I spent months on. It is also a place for the experiments, to see if the little ones can walk on their own.
About a decade or so ago, I developed a technique I call "Oilgraphing" It is a mixed media technique blending traditionally printed photographs with oil color. They are now days mounted on custom made wooden panels, but I've used everything from canvas to metal. I began performing the pieces in 1996 for audiences and those now make up over a third of the work

I am a unrepentant abuser of the elipse...
Come by. We'll make some pictures.
Yes...that's toilet paper. I've found nothing that works as well.

". . . life is a tragedy, in which man is subject to Fate. But this universal tragedy has its own catharsis, which is art, the eternal source of youth from which constantly springs and sparkles the magic water that makes life flow again in the dry reeds burned by the fires of thought." Giovanni Gentile
Dark, moody images full of emotion that grab me and hold me captive. I'm in awe of his technique and his vision. One of my favorite artists here on flickr.
Kevissimo’s work is powerful, deep, often luscious. His portraits capture the complexity of human emotion. I think, one of the most important artists on flickr—for his authenticity, for capturing life’s drama without comprising, but actually highlighting, its truths.
Brilliant mind, brilliant man. Kevin's work speaks for itself....indulge.
