I love to travel, but not as a "tourists." Sure, I want to see the time-honored sights, but I love finding those little unknown gems that most of the world passes by.

And I find great joy in seeing, experiencing, and photographing my home state - Kansas. Perhaps it takes a special eye to enjoy its beauties, but I guess I have it. If you haven't yet, please look at my Kansas travel photos. Now that I am retired and Medicare-age, I find more opportunities to add to my photostream. (Guess I just gave away my age, but that's okay.)

Many, but not all, of my images are protected by copyright. If you wish to use these copyrighted images, please contact me for permission. A number of my images of historical places have been accessed and used by students in the process of preparing research papers. I am pleased to have been of service in that regard and trust that they are adequately documenting their research sources.

"This is an outrage! Here I am, the first person to ever write a testimonial for kansasexplorer. Come on folks! Take a look at his sets and his photostream. He is a talented photographer and an intrepid scout of the unusual, the beautiful and the seldom seen. I admire this man very much for standing up for his home state and doing something to show it off to others in his own unique way.
    Way to go, kansasexplorer!!!"
