James Neeley. Get yours at bighugelabs.com/flickr

I have enjoyed photography for many years, both film and digital but it has been HDR that has revitalized my interest in this fantastic artistic pursuit. I remember the frustration of not being able to capture on film or file, the beauty that was before my eyes. This is now more attainable with hdr when sagebrush and weeds can become a thing of beauty...

High Desert Glory

I love seeing the wonderful images on flickr and learning from viewing the work of so many different and talented photographers. Keep those great images coming!

My one claim to fame is this image which sparked a brief flurry of activity and a mystery. In 5 hours after it's post it garnered 50,000 views or about 167 views per minute.

Teton Fire

The explaination was found when I went to work on Monday and one of my partners said, "you're famous." The image link was posted on Digg.com which spurred the activity.

Mystery Solved

Interesting thing, the Internet! I just love being able to see and share great photos from all over the world. I hope you enjoy my stream and small slice of this beautiful world we all share ;-)

"Each time I browse through James' photostream, I am simply awestruck by the beauty of his work. Every image is a masterpiece... a combination of light, shadows, and color that leave the viewer wanting more. I'm especially fond of his Teton images; they capture the beauty there perfectly.

James has also mastered post-processing techniques, making his photos truly extraordinary. Unlike so many who use post-processing to create unrealistic results, James has found a way to use it to bring out the stunning beauty of the world around us.

I encourage you to sit down and take some time looking through the work of this outstanding photographer and artist... you will not be disappointed."

    Gert van Duinen says:

"James is not the type of guy who desperately likes to toot his own horn when it comes to presenting his photographic pieces to the world. And that's just another reason why the efforts he puts into the presentation of his photographs are one of the most valued ones among this community as well. Also, his ability to personalize a very known scene, which probably has been photographed a million times before, and take it to a higher level in terms of technical quality and ecstatics can be considered ultimate.

A kind and warmhearted type of person with a cool sense of ecstatics, tonal range, compositions and scales, who's always willing to explain the history and the meaning of the special areas he captures.

Thank you for sharing your great work to fellow photographers like me. There's no doubt we can all learn something from your experience in the field of nature and landscape photography from this great continent you're living."
