A New York financial services executive, John Blondel has worked for Goldman, Sachs & Co. over the past three decades. Entering the firm as a fixed-income investment banker, John Blondel current position is a Managing Director with the firm’s Investment Management Division.

Born and raised in Montclair, New Jersey, Mr. Blondel earned his Bachelor of Arts in American History with high honors at Harvard College. He served as an editor of the Harvard Crimson and was a member of the Delphic Club. He additionally ran on the Track team and played freshman football. John Blondel subsequently earned his MBA at Harvard Business School.

In addition to his professional responsibilities, he maintains a longstanding commitment to nonprofit service. He is Co-Chair of the Class of 1978 for the Harvard College Fund and is on the Harvard University Committee on University Resources. He formerly served as Chair and Member of Overseers Committee to Visit the Memorial Church.

Mr. Blondel’s community activities extend to board and executive committee membership with the The Friends of the High Line. This Manhattan nonprofit organization focuses on the building and maintaining of a nearly 400-acre linear park situated on a defunct elevated line of the New York Central Railroad. As Chair of the group’s Development Committee, John Blondel helps lead the efforts for capital fundraising for the building of the High Line.

John Blondel’s volunteer positions also include membership in the Board and Finance Committee of the Academy of American Poets as well as being on its Committee on ther Board and Chancellors Committee. John blondel is on the Board and Investment Committee of the Jackie Robinson Foundation.
