I'm a self-taught artist and I make found-object sculpture, assemblage and environmental art from found/discarded objects. I work full-time as an artist (since 1996) and sell my work mainly through folk art festivals/shows and galleries, as well as to folks who visit me at home and tour my yard.

I am honored to have my work in the permanent Folk Art collections of the High Museum of Art (Atlanta. Ga) as well as the Polk Museum (Lakeland, Fl) and the House of Blues (Orlando, Fl). I also feel blessed to have my work in private collections around the country.

Galleries that carry my work include;

The American Folk Art Museum - NYC (Gift Shop)

Jeanine Taylor Folk Art - Sanford, Fl

Winder Binder Gallery of Folk Art
Chattanooga, TN

Art Festivals/Shows that I have participated in over the years;

Slotin's Folk Fest - Atlanta, Ga

Kentuck Festival Of The Arts - Northport, Al

House Of Blues - Folk Art Festival - Orlando, Fl

TRAM Outsider Art Fair - Travelers Rest, SC

Good Folk Fest - Louisville, Ky

    Mary Bogdan says:

    "JimShoresArt. A TRUE ORIGINAL.

    He creates extremely individual works of art. His assemblages are brilliant pieces, very bold. He has wonderful sensibilities, and a walk through his bottle garden would be a fantastic treat !

    His works are gutsy... cutting up one way signs and license plates into fish... SUPERB.

    Thanks, JimShoresArt, for sharing your fabulous vision with all of us. What a great inspiration you are!"
