Born in Zimbabwe - now in Scotland, UK. Introvert with a sense of humour. I struggle with mental illness ( Borderline Personality Disorder, OCD and PTSD) and find photography an avenue to explore my world in which I believe there is no reality - only perception.

I am self taught - basically trial and error and plenty of experimenting. I don't have a specific genre I focus on but feel my photography is evolving. Always at my happiest behind the camera following 'my eye'. Each day is a new opportunity to explore.

As the photographer, I have the copyright to all images in my flickr stream. Please do not use without my prior permission. Thank you.

"We met through the blogging community, and I find the expression made in these photographs to be stunning and thought-provoking. What I talk about a photographer who thinks out of the box this is the type of artist that I'm referring to."

"Jani has a talent that all photographers need.....the ability to "see" the beauty in everything. Her capture of the simplest things to the most complex are brought to life as she brings out the beauty that we seem to neglect as we carry on our busy lives. Truly an artist at heart, I feel blessed to be able to view this talented artist's work.
    Thank you Jani!

"When I looks at Jani's photos certain words spring to mind: bold, strength, bravery, look. Everything she creates demands that the viewer pay attention The bright, eye-catching colors in her photos brings to mind the work of artist, Kay Rosen. Jani's work--to my mind--is focused on the bigger picture, with key details illumniated where the artist is looking for effect. Often her photos grab me by the shoulders and shake me into a consciousness unknown before, but given a few minutes of careful study...I see deeper details in a captured shadow, the tilt of a limb, the angle of the lense, the light's intensity--or subtlety. As an artist, she commands so much creativity and power...I can't wait to see what she does next...! :)"
