Hi there

I'm a born and bred Liverpudlian who loves to watch football, climb hills and take photographs. I'm a keen supporter of Liverpool F.C and Dundee F.C, which I try to watch them play as much as I can. I moved to Scotland in 1994 when I was 22 and as I'm now 44 years old, I've been here for half my life!! I've been learning French and hope to become fluent as it is my ambition to tour around France and experience the culture, as well as walking, climbing and exploring the area.

I'm very keen to learn how I can make better photographs including welcoming any constructive advice as long as it is meant in a kind way :)

I was a Staff Nurse since finishing my studies in December 2007. Since qualifying, I have nursed elderly patients but latterly I was involved in looking after sub acute patients and day cases. Now, I'm retired from nursing through ill health but can honestly say I'm so glad to be away from it all which scarily has some of the worst people working within it. I was working with autocratic senior nurses who exploit their higher positions to bully and demean those who work hard and get on with their job. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved my job but certain people made conditions impossible to work. But that's a story for another time...

Enough about me... I could yammer on for hours ;)

I feel that my photo stream reflects how my photographs have changed from when I first found my passion of photography and how I've upgraded the cameras I have used over the years.

Initially, I was using my partner Ronnie's www.flickr.com/photos/49602360@N00/ camera - the Kodak 4530 which I'm getting some fab effects with (especially macro). I then went on to playing about with his Fujifinepix S9500 with some nice shots.

Now I've moved on to the Nikon D3200 and having so much fun with it, especially with the 300 lens it came with :) I do feel I need help using the 300 lens as well as the usual 55 and get some constructive criticism either on here or out on a wee meeting. I don't do landscape photos and really want to work on it. Any way, I'll be sticking with this camera for a long while now as I still have so much to learn and am very comfortable with it :)

I don't mind you using any of my photographs (copyrighted me), but could you please ask first (including using their links), just so I know who's using them and for what. Ask nicely with lots of pretty pleases (chocolate cake optional - ha ha :) ) will say yes.

:0)))) Many thanks for looking at my pictures.

Update...October 2016.
I bought another camera which I'm having fun with. Its a Sony Exmor 20.4 Mega pixels with an optical zoom of 30 and an F number of 3.5-6/4.3-129. I bought it a few months ago and have taken loads of photos, especially when out walking as its a lot lighter than my D32. I will upload pictures when I get a spare few minutes. I'm still trying to figure out how the camera works as it has the usual settings (M, A & S etc) as well as some pretty nifty other settings. I'll upload the best ones as soon as I can.

Hope you like them :)
