People are complicated. This one is a southern English working class male who appreciates the arts and became fascinated with India as a result of hearing north Indian art music via television in 1980. I travelled there as a mature student of World Music and a Bollywood fan in 1996 (Mumbai, Ahmedabad) and 1998 (Delhi), returned as an Indian arts journalist in 2001 (Chennai, Kolkata) and subsequently edited my own magazine from London for three years. The English aspect of my dual culture is not neglected. I play traditional dance music on the violin and take a keen interest in history. I'm also now learning electric guitar and working in market research.

Photography is a hobby, nurtured by my membership of Flickr. My cameras are a Nikon Coolpix 5200 and a Nikon D40. Most editing is done in Picasa (it's free and easy to use, unlike Photoshop) with some fine-tuning in PhotoFiltre.

I'm Twittering as @inglian .

N.B. I do not supply free photos to websites and print journals. Moreover, I am offended to be asked to do so.
