I work as a poet, painter and illustrator, and I recently started a small graphics arts business. In the distant past, I've sold make-up, extraordinarily over-priced jewelry, and real estate; and I've had the somewhat dubious pleasure of working in a bank.

I've worked more recently as a tutor and teacher, and as an editor and writer. My well-received book of poetry Elementa (Loosey Goosey Press, 2008) was released this year (you can read Luan Gaines' insightful review of Elementa at www.curledup.com/elementa.htm ). You can read Ms. Gaines' interview with me at www.curledup.com/intfgoble.htm.

I've occasionally written for newspapers and radio; my op-ed pieces have been published in the Courier-Journal and other newspapers throughout the years; and my readings of my essays and poems have been featured on several NPR member stations.

My novella "Birdland" was recently serialized and featured in Bewildering Stories, and one of my paintings appeared in Sow's Ear Poetry Review earlier this year. My photos have been published in the UK's Telegraph, the Chicago Tribune, and theHufffington Post, as well as many other publications. My paintings and other artwork have been used on websites worldwide.

I have three dogs (each of whom has been rescued or adopted). My dogs are a fat but sweet beagle named Larry; a wonderful border collie, Australian shepherd mixed-breed named Roxy; and a completely annoying but lovable two-and-a-half pound Chihuahua named Teddy..

Many of my photos, paintings, and designs are licensed under Creative Commons, and I don't mind if these are used in web (or print) publications. Please just give me credit for my work using my name (and not just my web address) so your use of my work will be searchable, and a link back to my Flickr pages is appreciated. Thanks!

And as those of you who know me are aware, I never sleep!

  • Dear friend I beg your prayer : I am very sad because there was a very tragic accident just 'a few kilometers from home. There are 33 miners some very young (19 years) trapped inside a mine (approximately 600 meters underground) since Thursday. Nothing is by deep dreams happy new year

"Faith got that facination for life that takes me for an inspirational time and beauty travel.
She is a talented artist that got the special sense of humour that I love.
Creative and thinking outside the box..
She brings out the essence of inner light from people around her..I think she must be magic!

    Uncle Foto says:

"Faith Goble is a true artist and a very good photographer. when i look at her arts, fotos, sketches, drawings and paintings i couldn't help but notice how neat they are, there are attentions to details, well executed, well thought and well composed. she does them all superbly. i also like her pet Larry and his portraits. (Good Dog)

Most of all i like her colorings as they are alive as could be. I am lucky to be counted as one of her flickr contacts. Cheers !"
