You can check My Most Interesting Photos by Flickr

All my images taken with the Canon 5D coupled with either the
Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 "L" usm,
Canon 24-105mm f/4.0 "L" IS usm,
Canon 17-40mm f/4.0 "L" usm or the
Tamron 90mm f/2.8 Macro

Prior to the 5D i used to shoot with the Canon 10D, which has served me very well, still up and going but has hardly been used since my newer purchase....

Heres some of my work, my real work, coupled with my hobby...

Self Employed Jeweller, have my own Gallery, keeps me very busy, would love more time to play, and learn this photography thing...take to another level...a degree of selfishness is needed to reach that i feel...

That said, playing in the Flickr universe has become less interesting for me lately, as in life, things change and move on, my close contacts have drifted and the desire to post to groups and play the Flickr game has waned..the interest in my photo stream has therefore taken a nosedive as you would expect.

Please look around, you may see something worth looking at, any comment is greatly appreciated.

    rodBEVERIDGE says:

"I have had the pleasure of knowing John nearly 6 years as a Jeweller and have been fortunate to have him as a photo buddy for 3 of those years.

John is an an amazing guy with what ever he does whether it be at his profession, behind his camera or in front of his Mac Book :) apart from his profession and hobbies John has a sensational family that is his true No 1 priority.

His photography is always well though out and crafted in the end result to those thoughts, he has an creative eye for things that a lot of other photographers would pass on by and a passion to create that photo to perfection . The end result of John's photography is a combination of hunting it, photographing it, editing it and the results speak for them self.

Great stuff John, I admire you as a person and respect and appreciate our friendship - always looking forward to the next Photo Shoot."

    Ravages says:

"A mean ass photographer with a heart (and profession) of gold. John makes taking portraits sound so easy, but the result is extra-ordinary. And just when you think he can only do portraits, he goes out and shoots landscapes and old barns and decaying boats. And these each are little poems. His photos take you by your lapels, shake you till you are wide awake and ask you "Do you like what you see?".
    I do

While his photos go for the striking, his comments go for the mellow, 'come let me hold your hand and help you cross the chasm' feel. You know what I mean? They are - friendly. The kind of friend you will have a cup of coffee with, as you banter about, sharing a joke."

"Goldmanoz is an awesome Aussie, and nobody can say different.. Is has a gorgeous artistic ability in both his photos and his jewelry (eventhough I had to wait Aaaagggggeeeessss to see an example of the jewelry ;) He is a very fun guy.. He was the first person to ever offer me photo advice and then walked me thru what he meant... I always appreciate the time and thought he puts into his comments....He has a wonderful sense of humor and I am glad to know him... :D

"His photos are WOW almost all the time. But that that tells little of the tale of Goldmanoz and you can see his photos for yourselves in his stream.

I'll tell you the tale of Goldmanoz the man.

He works tirelessly to help others - he cares about the comments that he makes and wants to help all that he can.

He adds a spice of humour, a touch of humility and a great load of care - and up adds up to a great man.

    He's a photographer that I respect, and a man that I admire.

If there is anyone on Flickr that is my role model then he is it."

Alex Vinter (aka Wam Mosely) says:

"Why doesn't this diamond guy not have a testimonial?? Full of knowledge and a photostream most should be jealous of, he's a great guy to know!

His critique is legendary, offering advice all over the place, always with a crop suggestion!!

A lover of a close crop, portrait and fine macros, although his stream shows many more photographic treats.

Can be seen lurking in dark spaces either taking photos of forgs, himself or naything else that passes by.

    Great work Goldmanoz."
