I'm learning a little more every day. I started on film at the tender age of 7 with a Kodak 110, moved to a 35mm Rikoh in high school, then jumped into digital in my early 30s with a D40X, then a D100. Now, at 50, I find myself enjoying NOT shooting digital: my tools of choice range from early '70s model Lubitel 166B TLRs to Fed and Zorki rangefinders and Zenit SLRs with Industar and Helios lenses. The most modern camera I let myself use anymore is my beloved workhorse Pentax K1000.

I don't do my own darkroom work yet, but I live to learn. The world is full of choices, and I want to make them all.

    Tracy Sasser says:

"Gentlemanrook is a fine, respectable citizen with a very old soul. He admires beauty in everyday things more often than beauty in its obvious form(s). He is creative and artistic, and he expresses himself well both with the written word (man, you should read his resume) and in the photographic medium. And he plays a mean game of Backgammon."
