I am 85 yrs old, Reiki Master, photographer, photo retouch er, and webmaster. I use MACINTOSH
I worked in Newfoundland Provincial Parks 1963- untill my retirement in 1987 as Chief of Park Interpretation, then I moved to Vancouver, BC, (Canada)
My ikon photo was taken by Eric who helped me to learn about my new Olympus E-410.
Some photos from my past:
Sports: dragonboating with Grandragons senior team,

I post pictures here too:
Sixty years ago I was told: "if a picture needs a title it is not an exhibition quality". Things changed with the internet, and now that with Flickre the whole world is in a large exhibition room, the photographers duty is to spread knowledge about our world and its people. Therefore I am trying to give descriptions and titles to my pictures in this spirit.

"George is undoubtedly one of the truly amazing photographers I've come across in flickr. His work is so inspirational for people like me and hundreds of others who have so much to learn from him. The one thing that makes his photographs more beautiful is his story-telling habit with each photograph.....makes them more and more interesting. Love your work George !!!
    Kudos - !! :)"

    Rafal Bergman says:

"George Draskóy is one of the greatest old-school photographers on Flickr. His pictures are striking and unique, perfectly composed, presenting interesting situations and places, and looking into souls of people. He has not only a great sense of beauty but also is close to me in his responsible conviction that the duty of a photographer is to share and show the world he had a privilege of seeing to other people - making strange and different cultures and people closer to us. Thank you for your input into the quality and variety of Flickr, as well as for this noble effort towards better understanding of Others and thus increasing chances of our peaceful existence on this beautiful planet."

    Tony Seaward says:

"I had the pleasure of finding George’s photos several months ago and now I always look forward to the next photo that he posts. I have heard several people say that photography is the science of capturing light. George takes it much further than that. George captures people and gives us a glimpse into their lives. After looking through Georges photo stream you come away feeling, or maybe wishing, that you had been with him when he took some of these great pictures in great locations. Often after I look at George’s latest picture I am left wanting to know more about the person he has photographed and I think that is what takes George’s photography past the science of taking a picture and into the art of photography. Keep up the great work George."
