U.S. Senator Evan Bayh is a heartland Democrat with a proven and broad appeal, and a history of advancing progressive values in a heavily Republican state. First elected Governor at the age of 32 – the youngest in the nation – Bayh was reelected to the senate in November 2004 with the highest percentage of support in recent history, and outperformed President Bush in Indiana in the 2004 election. Since his election to the Senate in 1998, Bayh has developed a reputation as a common sense pragmatist, focusing on innovative solutions to help America tackle our challenges at home and defeat our enemies abroad.

"Evan Bayh was a great Governor then and he's a great Senator now for Indiana. I'd vote for him again."

    your pal Matt says:

"I met him on a plane once while flying to college at Purdue from New Jersey. Sure there was a little flight delay caused by waiting for the then-governor, but he was really pleasant and perfectly willing to talk to the other passengers - in Coach!

His father Birch was as close as you can get to being universally respected in a politcal arena and I feel that Evan is of that same stripe. and that's what we need."

"Indiana won't be a state much longer. Secession is inevitable, you scummy federalists! Long live the Hoosier Republic!"

"I can't say that I'm a supporter yet, but any Democrat using new technology like Flickr is on the right track for 2008. Using technology to improve our democracy is what got me involved with the Dean campaign, and I'm looking for that again in 2006 and 2008.

Although, to REALLY impress me, you'd have to release your Flickr photos under a creative commons license. :) (You can set your default here: www.flickr.com/pr... )"
