A hacker in the most general sense of the word. I am a photography hacker, video hacker, and computer hacker. An extreme enthusiast, if you will. The way others spend vast sums of money to have the best car, I spend to have the best photography equipment (within my means) and editing software, video editing software and equipment, and computers.

I enjoy shooting nearly all genres of photography - Portraits, Macros, Landscapes, Night shots, etc But what I love most is getting a very difficult or unique shot. Those photos that I had to try the hardest to achieve tend to be the ones I love the most. And, if pressed, extreme closeup portraits would have to be my favorite by a hair.
I strongly believe that information should be free. Only by freely contributing to our culture can we affect in the most profound way.

All of the pictures in my stream are licensed under the Creative Commons License

Let me explain:
You can use my pictures however you like. Put them in a mashup, remix them, or use them to adorn your website. I only ask for credit for what I did. Don't take credit for what isn't yours - I never have. If you have a website, just put a photo credit whereever it is convinient for you. Near the bottom or side or on another page. Just make it clear that it is my picture. A link back to the original is preffered, but not required. Letting me know is encourging to me, but not required.

No Commercial
Let's play fair. No making money off of what *I* did. If you want to make money off of it in any way (including using it in such a way as to bring more visitors to your site, which earns you money) then contact me and we can negotiate. Don't be a jerk, everyone hates jerks.

This is similar to the GNU. Look, I was nice enough to share my photo with you. I could have done a regular copyright which would make it illegal for you to do anything without it outside of "fair use" without asking my permission. In return I require that you allow the same with anything you do that involves my work. You cannot take my work and then put a more restrictive license on it.

Thank you and enjoy remixing the planet!
