I'm not entirely sure what my approach to photography is, yet. I like noticing strange things, finding interesting subjects. I'm rarely patient enough to give my photos real polish, and I'm not into the technical aspects of photography. I do like good composition, but I need a lot of practice before I'll get there.

I'm not an on-camera purist - I'm quite happy to crop my photos and do minor colour corrections after the fact. I only occasionally do major distortions, though - my touchups are usually aimed at improving the photo's reproduction of what I saw. I'll admit I have a weakness for occasionally cranking up the contrasts for a more dramatic and cinematic look, though... what I was feeling, rather than seeing.

For subjects, I like to shoot cityscapes: and streetscapes, mixed uses, and the entire Jane Jacobs approach to watching a city.
urban decay, suburban bleakness, and brutal industrial style
landscapes and travel shots
