My favorite self-portrait

My growing collection of personal photos here grew out of the lack of a comprehensive way to manage photo galleries on my (currently dormant) blog curiousLee. Because of shifts in my life routine, I've paused from posting there in favor of Flickr and Twitter. Here on Flickr, you'll often find photos of my daughter Cianna, snapshots of my experiences with high technology and retro glamour photography of various models and friends.

Though I have worked as a professional photographer before, and have even recently been published in a coffee table book, I have an amazing day job as one of the directors of the web site from which I derive energy (and income!) for my art.

Through my employer, I was blessed with the role of corporate liaison to the MIT Media Lab for eight years where I some amazing times time with John Maeda, Dan Ariely, Henry Holtzman, Chris Csikszentmihalyi and sometimes Nicholas Negroponte. Through that engagement, I became involved with One Laptop per Child. Grassroots volunteering with OLPC led me to win a $300,000 All Children Reading Grand Challenge grant with the DC-based Lubuto Library Project to travel to Lusaka, Zambia to train vulnerable youths on digital content creation.

I hope you enjoy what you see here, and do say "hello!"
