BBC - Visual Arts: Featured Artist
My YouTube Videos
A versatile artist completing public environmental artworks, installations and abstract paintings on a variety of themes inspired by personal experiences of life and nature.
Installation locations have included parks, farms, gardens, offices and libraries.
Abstract paintings have evolved from hard-edged geometrical rhythms to exploration of naked trees.
Media used : trees, found objects, neon, LED matrix signs and acrylics on canvas.
CURRENT ACTIVITIES SKILLS
Installing new art gallery in the Colchester Walkin Centre to provide artists with the opportunity to exhibit within a very busy healthcare environment
Creating public environmental installations using trees and other media for Basildon Council, Colchester Council and Hyde Hall RHS gardens.
Focus on showing my works rather than just creating them as I wish to share my art with as wide an audience as possible.
Investigating the use of LED microchip technology to develop a sequence of signs, which explore the use of words as a creative medium.
Creating 2 sequences of paintings one inspired by the energy of trees and the other by the relationship between natural and man made forms.
