"I've been trying to figure out what it is I like about Chris's work. I've always liked it, but I've never been able to put my finger on why. today I finally figured it out: he dispenses with subject subtlety. chris dispenses with the artsy flair of trying to jam umpty-hundred messages in a pic, and focuses on the matter at hand. there's never any doubt what the subject of his photo is, and he pretty much nails every one. fantastic imagery, a great sense of humour, and a variety of super-interesting viewpoints of things he obviously went out of his way to capture. his work is inspiring on a number of levels, and I'm happy he hasn't blocked me (yet)."

"what can i say about Chris... well, i gues one could say lots... but lets stick to photography...
he is THE GUY that takes those shots that make you have that "V8" moment... he constantly amazes me with the simple, yet awesome photos he posts...
if you want some inspiration... take the time and go through his stream... you will find ideas and it will make you a better photographer.... promise..."

Lani Barbitta says:
"Chris Clare is a photographer, friend, daddy, husband, dedicated worker-bee, who has a talent for visualizing the most scrumptious images. his children are such cuties anyway, whom he captures in such endearing, empathetic ways. thank you for sharing your gift of photography with us all! :-)))"

"Secretly I want to marry Chris so I can be called Claire Clare, but as that is unlikely to happen I will just have to appreciate his great photos. I am particularly fond of his rusty and decrepit shots."

"I have to agree with the accolades about Chris' talent as a photographer and one who just has a different perspective. That, after all, is what it really takes to be an artist and Chris, my boy, you got it."

"Chris is great fun, there exists nothing that can't be made interesting with his eye. His energy towards photography is inspiring and he has managed in a short time as a contact to pull me out of slumps with a quick message of encouragement. Like me he enjoys finding hidden treasures in the less traveled locales in our environments. We share a love and fascination for our kids who are the ultimate inspirational figures in our lives.
He's also great to just sit and have a beer with, so I predict we'll get along well in the future.

"I wish I had Chris' eyes...
Ever since I landed onto his photostream, I have viewed with enthusiam this photographer's fantastic array of spectacular photos. From jaw dropping sunsets and fun filled family snapshots to exquisitely composed detailed shots (RUST !), I can't say enough about this artist's work without sounding like a complete groupie. But what I did get from Chris' enthusiam and delightful images inspired me to explore the beauty that surrounds me and has elevated my own point of view about photography. Thanks Chris. I'll be forever in your debt....

"Chris is a fantastic photographer and a wonderful friend. He is always very helpful and has a kind word.
I look forward to all his new posts...even though he has a slight obsession with rust ;)
Kudos to you friend, keep doing what you're doing!"

"Chris is a talented photographer! His work always manages to capture time and feeling. Everytime I view one of his photos I am transported back to my childhood growing up in Guelph and Fergus...great times and wonderful memories. Thanks for giving them back to me Chris!"

"I met Chris when I commented about his photo of the Great Canadian Midway--he hesitated to post the shot and I predicted that it would make Explore. Well, it did and rightfully so--it was a great, colorful shot. His skill with black and white photo processing is the best on Flickr--it takes a good eye to know what will work and what won't. His love for his family is evident in his photostream--his wife and two children are his heart and soul (you can tell). Every time I think he has posted his best shot--surprise--here comes another. He is the best Flickr friend and doesn't let me down--he even comments on the stuff that maybe shouldn't have been uploaded; but that's what friends are for--right? Take a moment to look at his photostream, you will not be disappointed--I guarantee it!"
