I am a biologist, ecologist, environmentalist and high school educator. I became interested in photography after spending 3 years doing research on Arctic Sea Birds from the Pribilof Islands, AK.

Since that time, I have done research for the Scripps Institute, Earned a Post BA degree in Science Education at the University of MInnesota and Masters in Biology/Ecology at the University Minnesota Twin Cities Campus. While my most recent research focused on the Oviposition Behavior of Monarch Butterflies, I have left my research behind to pursue my career as an educator with the hope of breaking into the field of Conservation Education through Photography and Story Telling.

I am an active blogger, and you can read my thoughts about ecology, evolution, education, travel and photography at: bruceleventhal.blogspot.com
