I love using the camera as a means to observe the world and my journeys large and small. I'm an amateur naturalist, always learning. I like nature, patterns, and books, but lots of things as well. I use flickr as kind of a memory palace - but also a way to link to others in the world that share common interests.

I have to admit that I haven't seen all 20,000 or so images on his stream, but I have to record that J Brew has taken some most interesting photos, has gone to amazing places, and shares many of the same obsessions. It is a bit scary to compare streams in some of the places we've both explored, since we sometimes found the exact same vantage point. You can see his humanity, knowledge, and sense of humor in many of these photos, which I am afraid is a bit of a rarity in flickrdom. It is a real treat to see his photos. I will look forward to more.
