Born in 1972, Bertrand Robion developed a penchant for industrial aesthetics since the year 2000 initially through his passion for music. In 2005, he created his first photography collection 'Petite Ceinture', a collection of photos regarding abandoned rail tracks around Paris. Mr. Robion's modern style and technique aims at highlighting everything that has been on the edge of the society, the abandoned and the forgotten elements from the urban industrial heritage.

His photographic work consists of two approaches: Firstly, A graphical look of subject matters basing on industrial structures, railroads, urban scenes and landscapes via black and white photography. And secondly, the use of color in capturing textures utilizing macro photography technique.

Part of the subject of his work focus on industrial landscape photography, the other part of his work tries to depict subjects with referential loss and scale loss by focusing on the details, in the attempt to rediscover and reveal the true beauty of all landscapes and objects.
