Grand Slam - Super Slam - Belize

If you are interested in Bonefish, Permit, Tarpon and Snook, then come and fish Belize River Lodge.

Belize River Lodge is a first class fishing and eco-tour lodge in Belize, Central America. We cater to all anglers, fly or spin and novice to expert. Our guides are some of the best in Belize, putting you on fish and offering you helpful advice. BRL is operated by Mike and Marguerite and their on site management makes Belize River Lodge one of the most personalized lodges in the Caribbean.

The Lodge is also a naturalists’ paradise with an abundant variety of tropical birds; iguanas & lizards in the trees and crocodiles in the river. Eco-tours to Belize's Barrier Reef, Xunantunich, Lamanai or other Maya sites are all an easy trek from the Lodge. If you enjoy “birds”, all of the activities offered by BRL, fishing and touring, give plenty of opportunity to spot a wide array of bird species from the Vermillion Flycatcher to the Blue Crowned MotMot.

Fishing is from a comfortable 23' panga (outfitted with guest leaning/casting post, chairs and a guide platform), the only skiff that can truly handle the waters of Belize. There are usually two anglers to a skiff, with a English speaking, experienced, professional, licensed guide. The FLATS, cayes, reef, mangrove channels, Belize River, Sibun River, Manatee River, Black Creek, and several other creeks and lagoons in between are the areas fished from the Lodge in a normal five day fishing package. This is a very large area with a great variety of fishing conditions, fish species and scenery.

Game fish species generally found in this area include PERMIT, BONEFISH, TARPON, SNOOK, Cubera Snapper, Jack Crevalle, Barracuda, Grouper, and others. Visual “Grand Slams” and visual “Back Country Grand Slams” occur every day. Landed Slams will depend upon your skill, the fish and luck
