Shot Full of Holes

I live in the western region of the Edwards Plateau, deep in the Texas Hill Country. I'm an avid outdoorsman spending a large portion of my time "out there" roaming the wide open spaces. Much of my photography is simply doing what I love to do,

I was introduced to photography, during my early years, at a school sponsored photography/film development program. I shot film off and on through the years (35mm). A lot of my focus, during these years, centered around my experiences served in the US Coast Guard (20 years). Most of this early film stock is now un-useable. I certainly wished, the digital world we have now, was available then.

The challenges posed with closing the distance, pursuing wildlife photography, is an absolute hoot for me! I never know, from day to day, what my lens will bring or what my eyes will see. The experience out there alone is everything to me. If I capture pixels along the way , it's icing on the cake.

"When I think of wildlife photography and especially of the Texas Hill Country, Rob Zabroky naturally comes to mind. While his photographic skills are certainly not limited to nature, he captures the living spirit of wild Texas like no other photographer I know. A tour of his photostream always feels like an adventure! Keep up the great work, Rob!"
