Amateur photographer, I love good images, I don't pretend to be any good at making them, but it's fun to try.

My style is all over the place, if you've chosen to follow me, thank you for being accepting of me lurching from one style to another. Street, landscape, action, documentary, there's a little of everything in what I do.

I stopped shooting for a few years, became a runner, got injured, and that ended up getting me back behind the camera, initially by shooting photos of local races for my running club and Staten Island's Greenbelt Conservancy. I won't post too many of those photos here, they can be found on my Facebook wall.

Shooting with:
- Nikon D750 (full-frame) and D300 (APS-C)
- Panasonic GF1 (micro 4/3)
- Nikon FE2 (manual focus film)
- iPhone 6

and some pretty nice lenses.

Nearly all of my work is available for free use under the terms of a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial License. It's nice to share, right? However, please read up on attribution methods before posting images to blogs. I will take appropriate legal measures to ensure the prompt removal of material where these directions have not been followed, and I'm quite proficient at finding misuse of my images.

I'm generally happy to share full resolution versions of my images for use by non-profit organizations - contact me via FlickrMail with details of your project if you want to discuss this possibility, or if you're interested in purchasing prints.

"Andy is one of the more modest photographers I know on flickr. His photos are well thought out and portray the usual in the most unusual and innovative ways, but I don't think he realizes that just yet. His HDR work is outstanding and his documentation of urban life is versatile, colorful, and accurately reflects the diversity and energy of the City. He is always trying new techniques and inspires me with his creativity and constant search for new subject matter. As an added bonus, he is extremely witty and definitely a qualitative commenter and encourager!"

"Andy has mastered the use of HDR photography. His use of this technology enhances what is already an outstanding photograph. Also his use of wide-angle lenses presents the viewer with a stunning new angle in every shot. New York City shines in this most wonderful photo-stream."
