Taking pictures in the islands of Lewis and Harris in the Outer Hebrides, as a photo diary. You'll find literally thousands of weather pictures in my growing photostream. The view is usually the same, but the weather is always different. Don't think it always rains in the Western Isles. Don't think it always blows a gale here. It does happen - but at any time, the islands are a magical place.

Pictures taken between 2005 and 2014 relate to Stornoway or the Isle of Lewis; a handful are taken in Harris.
Additional pictures were taken elsewhere in the UK.

The portraits which I have posted on the Your Faces group from IWM were all supplied to the Stornoway Gazette, and published in Loyal Lewis, Roll of Honour 1914-1918 in 1921. I have scanned these images, and researched the information as given in the description. Further information on this work can be seen on Faces from the Lewis War Memorial
