This photo gallery is a function of the "Unlock the Secrets in the Soil" campaign, which seeks to increase the awareness of the basics and benefits of improving soil health on our nation's working lands. The on-going education campaign was created by USDA's Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and began in the fall of 2012.
NRCS is an agency of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) that works on a voluntary basis with farmers, ranchers and landowners to protect and improve our natural resources, including our living and life-giving soil. USDA is an equal opportunity employer, provider and lender.
