Now aged 70, I have retired from a career that began as an advertising copywriter and ended working for BBC Languages after being made redundant as marketing director of one of the largest (at the time) independent publishing houses in the UK. Settled in Bexhill-on-Sea in East Sussex only a few minutes walk/drive from the sea, I've now got the opportunity to start taking photographs again - as well as getting used to a life without grappling with incompetent or mendacious managements - although I still have to deal with the local council which is much the same thing!

"Your Flickr is outstanding, I like it, it’s really interesting.

Your black and white is outstanding, full of nuances. Alberto Moravia said: “The reality is in color, but black and white is more realistic.” Your images are so this.

Your color photos are awesome, full of tonalities. The colors are subtle, natural and vivid; and the merge fine!

I like your compositions because they are personal and elegant; the way you treat the subject is always very original."

"What a joy to visit Tony's photostream! Discover his wonderful set of Australiana views, and big collection of English heritage gardens and houses! His camera is equally eager to explore informal social portraits, and to discover the occasional quirkiness of humans, plus the glories and wonders of Nature, and the amazing soulfulness of pets. Who knows what he’ll consider next?? -- We can count on Anthony’s ad-career training to deliver his all in artful titles enriched with double entendres, and whimsical, kindly humour. in catchy phrases. What’s more, Anthony thinks on a grand community-justice scale, and is now promoting pet-adoptions! -- Bravo, Tony. I’m so delighted you are both a friend, plus a moderator - admin in some of my groups! -- Keep us all entranced, Tony, with your wonderful eye, charming grace. and great gift for social harmony. -- Bravo, dear Tony!"

"Tony is a photographer who has a hawk's eye which captures things more quickly than a tele lens. His work has inspired me and i love it from the bottom of my heart. U cant fix his speciality on one side coz he is a multi dimentional Flickrer !!!!
His set "see gulls", "pegion post" and "buildings & constructions" i enjoyed the most, 3legged wonder cat's shoot is interesting too ....
Spare some time and go through his photostream, his "flower power" is a colorful garden which u will love too.

"Tony has a sappy sense of humour i enjoy and a wonderful spirit of sharing. Not the perfect composer always but can take any dose of critisism given and let it stand for all to see. I admire that and believe he adds much positive to the Fiickr."
