Served as a Correspondent with Crossroads Charlotte, a non-profit community building initiative, from 2009 to 2011 and I've managed social media and produced multimedia content for a number of local bands and small businesses.

Additional photography clients include PBS, CNBC, Wired, Our State magazine, Charlotte Magazine, Charlotte Observer, Lake Norman News, Queens University, WCNC, QCityMetro, Northeastern University, Michelin Guides North America, and many others.

My work has been displayed by the Mint Hill Art Gallery, North Carolina Museum of History, and the Charlotte Museum of History.

I first got interested in photography through my interests in travel, cities, and skyscrapers. Many of my photos through the start of 2008, such as my travels in Asia, were taken with my old Kodak Z700. My current photography setup is the following:

50mm f/1.8D AF Nikkor lens

Lowepro Slingshot 202 AW camera bag

Nikon SB-600 speedlight

Yongnuo YN-460ii speedlight

Vivitar 285HV speedlight

CowboyStudio wireless flash triggers

Photoflex convertible umbrellas

I love traveling at seeing new places. I've been to half the states and a dozen countries so far.

I'm continually impressed by James' work and stunned to know that he's self-taught.
