That's my goal. I don't admire photos that look like they were snatched from a video game or have exaggerated HDR effects and I really despise so-called "Second Life" images and pictures of Lego's. I promise you won't get any of that from me.

I love the work of many great photographers on Flickr. I wish I could duplicate all their results but I don't have their talent and vision so I've had to settle for the best that I can produce instead. Some of my work is pretty fair but I usually limit my efforts to a few things I'm interested in like cars, food, animals (birds and dogs mainly), flowers, macros or just close-ups now and then, and once in a great while I'll do shots of people but I'm far from a portrait artist or what some call a 'street photographer'.

Best way to contact me is by Flickrmail if you have questions or want to license any of my work.

All the pictures in my Photostream are my own with a handful of exceptions for shots made by my grandkids and my wife and those are marked accordingly. There's also an 80 or 90 year old studio pic of my mom --- photog unknown.

That's enough about me. Now check out some of the great photographers I follow in Flickr. Chances are good that you'll like some of their work.

    Rex Gray says:

"Pat's photography was one reason I picked up (and shelled out for) a DSLR almost 8 years ago. He generously and patiently shared his knowledge from decades of experience with me and became one of my mentors. But you can only lead this horse to water... Hehe."
