Recently retired Admiralty Solicitor's Manager. specialising in the handling of maritime casualties, initially "running away to sea" at the age of 17 and serving 7 years as a Deck Officer in the Merchant Navy.

Have sailed since the age of 7 going through dinghies such as Cadets, Fireflies and Merlin/Rockets, before going offshore in 1976 with a Waarschip 1/4 ton followed by a home completed Bolero 1/4 ton in 1978. This was followed in 1993 by a Starlight 1/2 tonner, which was sold in 2008.

Recently purchased A24 No. 224 - "OUTLAW" ex "ZOE" ex "SUZY SHOES". I plan to keep her on the Walton Backwaters where I have had a mooring in The Twizzle for nearly 40 years, apart from a short stint at West Mersea for a change of scenery.

"OUTLAW" was built in 1974, has a fin keel with a 12hp Dolphin petroil engine, and although sound in wind and limb, she requires and through refit.

My main interest is in racing although I now plan to do some more single - handed cruising now that I have the time.

I am also heavily into model yacht, design, building and

sailing, being involved with the Southwold Model Yacht Regattas since 1952.
