I post on Flickr because I enjoy an open exchange of creativity with others. I respect artistry of images whether produced solely with a camera or post processed. Although I have preferences in scenic compositions I always try to improve my abilities by working with a broader range of subjects, techniques, and processing. Hopefully, there is something in my photo stream that you will find presented in an interesting way.
I reciprocate in kind with contacts who take the time to view and comment on my photo stream. As you see below, I maintain a small group of contacts who have provided me over time an appropriate amount of honest feedback. I prefer a few honest comments from those who care to see my work. If someone adds me as a contact and has no photos to share or a blank profile, they will be blocked as their intentions to do not fit with the spirit of sharing on Flickr.
Thank you for viewing my stream and happy shooting!

I wonder how many of you do as I do, and go to Stan's photostream each day, hoping to see the next installment? There are plenty of people on Flickr that will tell you how to do certain things with a camera or a processing software, but there are few that will go that extra step and stay with you and offer encouragement and support. QtrFlash is one of those extraordinary individuals. He has helped me learn and improve in my photography. His images encourage me and his technical advice spurs me on in a journey of adventure and learning. In a way Stan has shamed me into getting out in to what is my geographic backyard and living and photographing what I believe to be God's Country. QtrFlash comes half a country away from his home to enjoy Western North Carolina, and I've ignored it for many years. Stan, thank you for all the help, the advice, and encouragement. Thank you for getting me out into the Mountains. You are a truly wonderful photographer and person. I am glad to have you as a friend.Read less
