I am Bill Friggle from Denver, PA. I have been into photography since I was 13. My dad was into photography most of his life. He took me into his darkroom to show me how to print images, and seeing that black and white image appear off of a blank white sheet of paper seemed like magic. And from then I was hooked. I was into it at various levels over the years. In 1990 I took a basic course through the New York Institute of Photography. And then I took advanced class in landscaped photography. That is what I did mostly for years. Then through a unfortunate situation I ended up with just a digital point and shoot. I didn't do to much. Then I finally got a digital SLR. Then I started doing it more and more. One day I bought a telephoto zoom and went to Middle Creek Wildlife Management area to test it out. Figured I could at least get a shot of a Canada goose. I was driving down a road and saw something sitting on a sign. I quickly pulled over and backed up. There sat a beautiful red tail hawk. For the next half hour I took photos of it as it moved to several locations but never too far from me. I was hooked on bird photography from then on. I am amazed at the opportunities God gives me to photograph His beautiful creation. Every shot I got I believe is a gift from Him. People are amazed at the images I get ,mostly because of my situation. I have broken my back twice. I can still walk but short distances and I use a powerchair to get around most of the time. Nature is all around you. You just need to take the time to look for it and appreciate it.

Your landscape and bird photography is easily some of the best I have seen. Great to see another Nikon shooter out there producing great work. Interesting to see you don't live far from me. How can I get you hooked on rail photography so you can bring your talents there?
