Karma is as karma does ... xox
Strange girl focusing mainly on selfportraiture, I don't consider myself a photographer but more a self portrait artist with a camera and usually these are caricatures I'm wanting to portray at the time.
Self-Portraiture is a creative outlet for me, besides experimenting with different mediums and though I like what I do, I like to have fun in what I do and for me it is my enjoyment to take and share these pictures with you.

of my childhood than in truth that is taught in life'

Niki Aguirre says:
"I don't want this to sound strange, but I am so in love with her, as a character, as an artist. There is something about her that has really moved me. I myself have been somewhat dormant in my own creativity and it's individuals like Kristamas who have woken me up. Shook me, made me want to express myself truly and genuinely. For that I want to thank her. She is so very beautiful. What a treasure."

"One of the most beautiful and original works on flickr. Each of your pictures is full of fairy tales and narratives, visually it's incredibly stunning and very effective in giving you chills! Most of all i'm incredibly curious about Kristamas, the character in your pictures and the person behind it all. Really fascinating, even too much just for images."

"Las obras de esta artista van mas allá de la fotografía propiamente dicha, podríamos hablar de una experiencia plástica, en donde no queda claro hasta donde es fotografía y donde pintura.
Una obra perturbadora, inquietante, onírica, todo un mundo."

eramos (blahgspot.com) says:
"Self-portraiture that is misleading. On the one hand, one is led to believe that her images are a continuation of a "post-" project--post-human, post-modern, post-historical, essentially modern . On the other hand, a more careful reading shows a powerless text, resisting its time through absence, and ultimately creating a space of agency for the author. It is here that we realize that we are dealing with an eternal subject that is the artisan. She is without time, present-absent, and, going beyond the idea of the artist, she is unified with the beauty of her craft through undeniable material."

"A matrix of brilliance from the realms of darkness. A red apple symbolizing temptation, a forbidden glimpse of flesh from a Victorian time, dark fairy tales from the brothers Grimm, a fading movie star from yesterday, an Alice in her own wonderland, thoughts which come to mind when I discovered the world of Klousch."

exquisite decay says:
"She exhibits a truly masterful use of the medium in every sense. Her dreamy portraits are a beautiful insight into a creative and fertile mind and soul. I only wish there were books to preserve the brilliance that we are all so lucky to experience... we are at her mercy in the sense that we are allowed to peek into that fantastic world of hers..... but without notice, we could be left standing at the doorstep... (which only adds to the immediacy and potency of her imagery...)
I've noticed that she has a similar artistic approach and attitude as many of the great artists and image makers of our time and from the past... M.C. Escher insisted that he was not an artist but rather a dedicated draftsman, though his works are inherently artistic and brilliant. ... Kristamas' statement "I don't consider myself a photographer but more a caricaturist with a camera, someone who holds many personalities inside and they all like to entertain in different styles" ... It is this insight that makes me believe that she is consistently in the right frame of mind.... a true master of the lens. I believe the importance of her images are larger and more grand than she will ever admit to or possibly acknowledge.... and that is beautiful.
I hope to be so blessed to see her development and expression for some time to come. .... I just hope she knows that her images and words are highly regarded, appreciated, and respected...."

"What can I say.. this is one person whose art has introduced me to the bizarre, the weird, the poetic and sometimes the terrifying, with breathless beauty, elegance and imagination.. all with such fragile personal honesty, in allowing you into a totally private world, that you cannot fail to be moved deeply and. in some sense. to feel privileged and honoured.
The extra-Flickr world is losing out badly by not having seen this. and I understand that Kristamas is a reticent/reclusive artist, but a real live exhibition with real prints would be such a *gift*..!!
Personally I shudder at the thought that all this resides on miscellaneous hard-drives in the form of magnetized. dots !
One administrative whim.. and it all just goes away..

K Ekos says:
"Kristamas is a dark dream of sensual delicacy, she's the little girl who lives in the tower of a lonely castle, where she sings mute songs and dance an arhytmic ballet with spiders.
She's the reflection of a whispered kiss in a black mirror.
Thanks for your inspiration"
