I'm Paul, originally from London but now live in Craigavon, Co Armagh. I got bitten by the photography bug in September 2008 while at the Northern Ireland International Airshow. I only had a Sony point & shoot and was stood amongst people with great big SLR's. A couple of weeks later I bought myself a Sony a200 with the 18-70mm and 75-300mm kit lenses and couldn't wait for the 2009 Airshow. It's a great wee camera to learn on and I had some great fun using it but I decided a couple of weeks before the 2009 Airshow that I wanted to switch to Canon for a better choice of lenses. I decided on the Canon 500D with 18-55mm IS kit lens and bought a Sigma 70-300mm DG APO on ebay. Recently I sold my Sigma and bought a Sigma 120-400 DG OS HSM. Straight away I noticed a difference in the quality and my football shots are way better. Amazing lens.

In May 2011 I sold my 500D and got a Canon 7D. Absolutely fantastic camera.

In December 2011 I decided I wanted to go back to one of my earliest hobbies, astronomy. I had a Meade ETX70 telescope but it wouldn't achieve focus with the camera attached. I decided to sell all my camera gear and upgrade my telescope. A week after selling everything I was the owner of a Skywatcher Explorer 200P Goto telescope with EQ5 mount. I use a Philips webcam for imaging.

I have just bought a Canon 7D again and a Sigma 150-500mm lens to go with it.
