We, the PhD students of the International May Planck Reserach School Molecular Biology, are hosting our symposium “Horizons in Molecular Biology” each year in September.
Horizons is attracting more than 300 guests per year, unregistered participants not even included. We are proud of having more than 25 different countries represented on our symposium, year for year. We do not only offer scientific presentations and discussions about the latest reserach to our participants but encourage people to talk directly to the most important scientists of various fields, young and old ones. This includes both, academia and industry.
This is why our very own career fair is an important part of Horizons for many years now. We invite speakers and representatives from different fields to give talks and workshops so that our participants can literally “broaden their horizon”.
As every year, we invite 20 brilliant speakers from different fields of molecular biology. During the last years, we could invite several Nobel laureates and we hope that we can keep this tradition up in the future.
