Hi, I am Joe and I am a photographer from Manchester.

I first started showing an interest in photography when I was a child, I would often take pictures of the wildlife in my garden and I also took an interest in travel photography. I really began to love taking snaps when I was around the age of fifteen in 2011.

My dad had noticed my interest and bought me my first interchangeable lens camera, I took it with me to New York and I was amazed by the enormity of the city. I wanted to capture the energy of this vibrant place. I loved the hustle and bustle of the big city and soon realised that my own city was a mini New York.

When I returned home I ventured out to Manchester frequently to take pictures and soon became part of the Skateboarding scene that had just began to thrive again. Getting into skateboarding and BMX photography really helped me progress and learn new techniques. There were lots of other photographers that went to the skateparks and we all learned from each other.

After a while my local skatepark lost popularity and I had to adapt by discovering different types of photography, I now enjoy taking portraits and often find myself routing through the city centre looking for modern architecture to shoot.

I am lucky enough to travel frequently and now have a large collection of pictures from some really amazing places such as Barcelona, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Amsterdam. I will soon be visiting Scotland and Montenegro so keep a look out for those snaps.

I have started working at a local pub at weekends, taking portraits to promote their social media pages and hope to start getting into concert photography.
