A bit more about me: My professional background is both botany (plant taxonomy, specializing in palms, Salvia and liverworts) and horticulture.

I love taking photographs, although my "style" (such as it is) reflects my long habit of taking photos for use in teaching plant taxonomy; hence, I tend to focus on diagnostic details of plants, rather than overall habit. Recently, I've become more interested in garden design, and I enjoy visiting gardens and seeing how plants are used.
