Born on the south coast of England near the green waters of Brighton I was having a miss spent youth and a lot of fun. The days of sleepless weekends and blurry weeks had to stop but the fun continued. I packed my bags and headed for the warmer waters of the pacific as a newly certified diver with the intention of finding my passion.
I continued my diving education in cairns on the great barrier reef and made my way up the ranks to divemaster.
I was never really interested in teaching people how to dive but wanted to learn more and become a better diver and a year later I was an open water scuba instructor.
I continued on, diving in Fiji, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Egypt and finally settling down in Palau, where I have been for the last eight years.
Palau was where I started to learn about underwater photography and videography and this was soon to become my passion, spending every opportunity asking the pros questions and learning from other peoples techniques.
Just as my pictures were starting to look half decent I made the decision to put my photography on hold as I was starting to understand spawning aggregations and fish behaviour.
The next four years I spent guiding tourists around Palau's top dive sites recording fish aggregations and learning patterns and timings around the moon cycles.
In 2012 I became product manager of Unique Dive Expeditions at Sam's tours, concentrating on spawning events and underwater behaviour. Last year I was able to start shooting photos again documenting these amazing underwater events and trying to produce these pictures in an artistic way.
Over the next few years I aim to learn more about fish behaviour and spawning events and hope that my pictures can be used for future generations in an attempt to protect this unique and complex environment .
