[Closed] how many flickr' users?!?

dandasights says:

Why there's not a counter of the registered users?
I'm writing a thesis about this wonderful social-network and I'd like to have an idea of how many we are :)

Thankyou so much!

dandasights. I don't know why we don't have a ticker.

We have 32+ million members.

Errr.. 32+ million members or accounts? Lots of members have multiple accounts...

Stevekin says:

Sounds better as 32+ million members Dr ;-)
But I would think it's the number of accounts.
Otherwise....it might be better to say there are something like 100 million accounts !

: I do.

There are also people that never use their accounts; I suspect there may be fewer than 32 million regular, active members.

I have four accounts I am such a hog. I guess that would be:

32,000,000 - 3 = 31,999,997

approximately.

I have to call my mother. She is a math teacher with a Masters in education. Perhaps she will know the correct formula. Maybe the Owl that helps out with the Tootsie Pop theory, "How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?" Of course at the rate he counts Flickr will keep expanding at a rate that he will never reach the end. Either that or he will give up after 3.

I digress.

I used to digress, but my cleaning woman complained about having to clean it up...

Owls: I don't trust 'em. Saw a paranoid owl, once - instead of saying "Who?", it used to sit there saying "What? WHAT??"...

Try Wolfram Alpha It even knows how much wood would a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood.

It also knows how many licks to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop.

What's that one about hoards of bored Mongols hoarding boards?

Stevekin says:

Yeah, but if you ask it "what is the answer ?", it's stumped ;-)

'How many boards would the Mongols hoard if the Mongol hordes got bored?'

It doesn't know that either.
