Jim Lambie Portfolio:
lacking the slideshow function
You mean "auto-play"? No, that is not part of the non-Flash slideshow, which was launched over 5 years ago.
I know it is over 5 years ago, because I posted my first in July 2015. Below it I wrote (translated):
Testing Flickr's latest version of their "html embed" slideshow code. No full screen mode, no autoplay, big ugly paging buttons and Flickr logo.
It's good thing with license shown in the corner, however it does not work as link? Flash or other 3rd party technology is NOT required, but ... room for improvement.
Maybe they get it adjusted over time? ...
Maybe they have improved it a tiny bit since launch, but basically I think my "review" from back then still counts.
But personally I say if they add auto-play there also needs to be a way to adjust speed. Otherwise I prefer the manual back/forward controls (I never use Flickr's build-in autoplay slideshow, it is much much too fast for me to get any enjoyment from).
