Question: How long have you had your current camera?

I've been using my Canon 30D for about 4 years. I expect I'll probably upgrade next year. I'm comfortable with a difital camera lasting me about 5 years or so. Film cameras last so much longer. In truth, this camera should really last me a few more years, but alas, I do long for more pixels and a higher usable ISO. Damn marketers and their tactics!

Point and shoot camera here.

FujiFilm FinePix s1000fd for now. Been using it for just shy of two months now and I love it. If I can earn enough money I'd like to move into a DSLR by end of the year. Probably won't so we're looking at this time next year.

Stupid economy.

I have seven cameras and they all have different characteristics and benefits.

My newest camera is Nikon D40, I've only had it just over two weeks. It's my first dSLR and I'm not fully confident with it as yet.

My first digital was a Canon A80 in 2003. I still use it often as it has the 21mm wideangle attachment.

I'f I had to chose just one I dont know which I would chose. Maybe the Ixus compact as It fits in my pocket and gets used the most.

i've had my nikon d40 for 1.5 years, but, as you, i'm longing for a d80 with more megapixels, and that can focus automatically with my 1.8 50mm...however i don't see that coming any time soon...

I've had my Panasoniclumixfz18 for a year and a quarter now. I am still really happy with it. My Hubby has moved up from the Canon 20D to the 40D so the option is open for me to "graduate" to a real SLR ... I'm still trying to figure out what it can do that I can't. (besides have a remote control!)

I'm on a D700 for about 3 weeks. I had a D300 for a month, and before that, a D100. My dad keeps upgrading his cameras and sends me his old ones. Gotta love Dad and his expensive hobbies!
