"Artists from across the region will be making a buzz in a week-long music event taking place in Warrington Town Centre this summer.

Warrington Music Festival 2011 kicks off in July and local clubs and pubs are being invited to host music events in the run up to the main musical extravaganza taking place at Golden Square shopping centre on July 15 and 16.

The festival, which is now in its 5th year and runs between July 9 and 16, will see its first ever dance night ‘Manik’ take place on Friday July 15 at Golden Square’s Old Marketplace, with top name DJs performing including Def Audio and Nick Hussey.

Saturday July 16 will see local bands performing on the main stage at the Old Marketplace throughout the whole day, with top bands Exile Parade, Bill Davro and The Andersons rounding off the festival that evening.
