As a reminder, please be sure to add good descriptions to the photos to increase their chances of being shared by USGS across our social media platforms...they also help others know what they're looking at and learn more about that photo.

We're looking for fantastic images related to the science that USGS studies! The images that you add to this Group may have the chance of showing up in USGS products, including but not limited to, publications, websites, and social media channels (usgs.gov/socialmedia).

We'd love for you to share your photographic work with us around any of the following categories (but don't limit yourself to the descriptions b/c they're just examples to get your creativity flowing):

Biology and Ecosystems
(ex: ecosystems, plants, animals, wildlife health, etc)

Climate Change
(ex: global warming, carbon storage, sea level rise, etc)

Data, Tools and Technology
(ex: data sets, websites, hardware and software advancements, etc)

Energy
(ex: oil, wind, geothermal, etc)

Environmental Health
(ex: contaminants, toxics, etc)

Mapping, Remote Sensing, and Geospatial Data

To increase the chances of photos being used by the USGS, we ask that you provide a detailed description of the image, what it shows, location, date, etc. The more info you provide the better.

For Work created in your private capacity, the USGS is requesting non-exclusive worldwide rights to freely publish, reproduce, use and/or distribute the Work in any media, now in existence or created in the future, at no cost and without temporal or geographic restriction. If the USGS uses any of the Work in its products or services, it agrees to credit the provider when and where possible.

I am the sole copyright owner of the work requested.
