Hey Sup Peeps,
just wondering where you guys get your e-6 processed, got some bundled with an ebay purchase and the best option appears to be ag-photographic (120 film btw).
Also I'm new to the Photosoc, so whatsup guys, Tiktian 2nd Aero!
In case anyone is interested, I bought myself the new Fuji X20 last week. I'm very pleased so far (considering it's a fixed lens).
If any wants some actual information on it, ask away. It's a nice, stylish camera, very quick, great colours, analogue zoom rather than digital buttons. Overall, highly recommended. Only downside so far is that the lens and fingers get in th...
A while back we had a brief discussion in this forum on emulating the look of film with digital. I said that for $30 I was tempted to have a punt with the X-Equals LR presets that seem to cover a huge variety of film types:
Well, they're currently on sale for the princely sum of $7.50 (£4.99) so I have lit...
Who is the current trips officer? I've just been to Krakow and one of the things that stuck out for me was that it would be a great place to have a photosoc trip. If international trips are still being run I'd highly recommend it and think its been about 7 years since the last photosoc trip there. Happy to provide further info to save research time if that helps.
I've decided to get a new camera but am a bit stuck on what to get. Any advice or recommendations greatly appreciated!
Essentially looking for something relatively portable that gives excellent quality and control for traveling and general use. Essentially something a bit more practical than an SLR for everyday use. Options include:
Canon S100 - ve...

Does anyone have any tips for scanning x-pro film with sprocket holes? It is Kodak EliteChrome, scanned on an Epson V500. Because the sprocket holes appear all black the scanner cant cope very well with auto exposing the scans
I had no problems with some colour film as I could just move the histogram sliders around to ignore the sprockets but this isnt worki...
If you've not yet got your Photosoc card and want to use the darkrooms or penthouse soon, give me a shout on vp [at ] ubuphotosoc [dot] com before midday tomorrow and I'll try and get your card sorted with the others I'm doing this week.

i tried to order one of my photos (here: www.flickr.com/photos/sophiaho/6595358393/in/photostream/... ) to be printed at jessops recently (delivered to family as they asked for it, so i can't see for myself), and apparently they came out a bit blurry. i ordered them to come out in size 10"x8"
it may be because i didn't bother to pay too much attention to w...
So I got bored and fancy a new toy. Looking at an old school Bronica kit and lenses for $350.
Otherwise was looking at a $450 fuji ga450 or was going to invest towards a small mirrored system for $900 ish
Hello all, Happy New Year and all that.
I barely use my digital SLR kit these days, and I'd quite like to swap it for a small ('pocketable') digital camera with a decent lens and modern sensor etc. etc. Mostly after playing with Matt's GF1.
I reckon I can pull together about 800 quid, maybe a little more from selling the 4 lenses and 2 bodies I have. That's enough fo...
(Anyone else read SuperGran as a kid?)
I must say I love the press release headings like "Wield Speed and Performance with Astonishing Accuracy". Oh dear.
